Description: Framed Oil Painting. Spitfire (model 1a) which was the most common model during Battle of Britain. Airplane is in the markings of 92nd Sqd., from No. 11 Group, which reportedly destroyed the most enemy aircraft during the battle. The Spitfire is opposing Adolph Galland’s ME-109-e as Kommodore of JG-26, and the time is about noon on Sept. 15,1940 over London, the high point of the Battle of Britain.
